The band camp alumni pregame preview has been moved to Friday, August 16, 2024 at approximately 7pm. The preview will be held at the practice field by the WVU Coliseum.

The Bylaws Committee has been working for many months reviewing our organization’s bylaws. It has been ten years since they were adopted and many areas of the organization have evolved in such a way that many sections of the bylaws do not address our current and future needs. To complete the review, the Committee reviewed other alumni band organization’s bylaws, consulted with leadership of other alumni band organizations, lawyers, and members and leaders of our organization.

As a Full Member of this organization, we are providing you with a draft of the proposed changes to review and provide comment.

Over the last two years, many of you generously participated in supporting the Annual Pride Picnic and member stipends provided during WVU band camp. The Pride members and staff have been extremely grateful for your support and thoughtfulness.    

We are reaching out to you once again to help support the Pride members during band camp 2024! Our goal this year is to provide each member with a $15 stipend. We have organized a section challenge for our members to help collect donations for the picnic and monetary gifts for each member. Any amount you can give is greatly appreciated. 

Below is a list indicating how many stipends are needed for each section of the band. Even if the stipends in your section have all been covered, please consider donating so members in other sections can receive a stipend too.

• Alto Sax - 35

• Tenor Sax - 22 - FULLY PAID

• Mellophone - 16

• Trumpet - 59

• Trombone - 34

• Baritone - 15

• Sousa - 26

• Feature Twirler - 4

Total - 349

If you would like to make a donation for the picnic to help offset the cost of the supplies, we would be very appreciative. You can donate to the member stipends or picnic by going to our Contribute page. Please select “Stipend” or "Picnic" and let us know which section to apply your donation to in the comment box.

The performances for Pittsburgh TBT have been canceled. We did not have enough people register. Thank you to those who registered and for your willingness to participate!

We will be livestreaming the "Tribute to Don Wilcox" Concert from Northport, MI on Saturday, July 13th. The concert will begin at 7pm EDT. You can watch it on our official WVU Alumni Band Facebook page (click here). For those of you who were unable to make the trip, please join us in spirit Saturday at 7pm EDT.

Friends: the performance for the Best Virginia Scrimmage July 12th in Buckhannon has been cancelled. Thank you to everyone

The WVU Alumni Band membership meeting has been moved to Sunday, July 7, 2024 at 7:30pm. If you registered for the June meeting, you will not need to register for the July meeting. A reminder will be sent for the July meeting.

The June membership meeting of the WVU Alumni Band, Inc. will be held virtually (Zoom) on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 7:30pm. Registration is required and you must be a paid 2024 member with a "Full Membership" to attend.  An email with login information will be sent to all registrants on June 2nd. The concert program has been set for the Michigan trip! On the link below, you can download part assignments, concert notes and all music for the July performance. All downloads are to the right of the webpage.

While this concert features many of Mr. Wilcox's favorites and WVU classics there is no need to worry! You have nearly 3 months to practice!!
